Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer to secure the engineering platforms, infrastructure, and software supply chains that support a large-scale HPC and cloud environment. You will partner with Platform Engineering, DevOps, Security Operations, and infrastructure teams to detect, assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities before they become operational risk.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in security engineering focusing on platform, infrastructure, cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and security monitoring tooling.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security, container security, and software supply chain risk.
• Experience securing Kubernetes, OpenStack, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Solid Linux expertise and experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, or Go) and risk-based remediation.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the vulnerability management program across platforms and cloud services.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities across bare-metal, Linux, Kubernetes and CI/CD environments.
• Lead vulnerability triage using risk-based prioritization and business impact.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure timely remediation of high-priority risks.
• Build real-time security monitoring and threat detection across HPC, cloud, and platform environments.
• Develop automation to continuously assess platform security posture and reduce manual effort.
• Integrate security scanning and policy enforcement into CI/CD and IaC workflows.
• Define and improve platform security standards, tooling, processes, and remediation playbooks.
• Collaborate to embed security into engineering workflows and communicate risk clearly.
