Job summary

Juniper Square is seeking a Senior Engineer - Application and Platform Security to protect our software and cloud infrastructure across a security‑driven platform. You will write production‑quality code, build security guardrails, and respond to risks in a hands‑on, collaborative environment.

You’ll design secure patterns, perform manual reviews, and lead threat modeling sessions with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application or product security or software engineering with a security focus
• Deep experience finding vulnerabilities via manual code review
• Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript for reviewing frontend code
• In-depth knowledge of OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SAML, MFA, session management
• Experience leading threat modeling sessions with engineering teams
• Experience running SAST, SCA, DAST and writing custom rules
• Familiarity with cloud, container, and CI/CD security
• Working understanding of LLM application risks and AI security

Responsibilities

• Lead security design reviews and threat models for new product features with depth in authentication and data isolation
• Perform manual code review and security testing of web apps and APIs
• Design secure-by-default libraries and framework-level controls
• Triage findings from testing and external assessments and write remediation guidance
• Threat-model and test AI-powered product features for risks like prompt injection and data leakage
• Share design review and triage responsibilities across the team
• Support external penetration testing program from scoping to retest
• Partner with teams on build pipeline and supply-chain security
• Participate in incident response for application security events
• Build security automation and agents to cut review time
