Job summary

7AI seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design and scale the core AI-driven security platform. You will collaborate with AI, backend, and product teams to keep systems performant, secure, and observable, while owning key cloud infrastructure and automation.

As a hands-on engineer, you will expand AWS regions, improve scaling, and implement IaC and CI/CD practices. You will contribute to high-availability, disaster recovery, and developer experience across fast-paced security workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or software engineering roles.
• Experience working closely with development teams, with a proven ability to change production code.
• Strong software development skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Deep experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions.
• Experience building observability and monitoring systems with tools like the Grafana stack.
• A passion for developer experience, automation, and high-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Curiosity to work at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure, high-performance infrastructure for our AI-native platform.
• Own AWS region expansion, harden systems for compliance, and improve elasticity, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• Build tooling, services, and automation, including runbook automation and AI-assisted developer workflows, to improve platform reliability and developer experience.
• Partner with AI and backend engineers on deployment, CI/CD, observability, and performance optimization.
• Lead infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration initiatives that reduce toil and improve incident response.
