Job summary
NinjaTrader Clearing, LLC is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in Chicago. You will ensure availability, performance, and scalability of trading systems by deploying and managing services in Kubernetes and collaborating with product teams to keep revenue-generating platforms robust.
You will lead reliability initiatives, mentor engineers, automate deployments, design monitoring with SOC 2/PCI DSS in mind, and work across web, mobile, and desktop deployments
Qualifications
- 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms.
- Experience leading reliability initiatives and mentoring engineers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for SRE, setting direction and mentoring engineers.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate production incidents to keep systems online.
- Participate in weekly on-call rotations and weekend deployments.
- Build tools to automate deployments and incident responses.
- Design monitoring and alerting with SLIs/SLOs across platforms.
- Use Terraform for provisioning and IaC across environments.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Operations, and QA to deliver features.
