Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the NixOS-based overlay and the tower network topology for Sentry Tower systems. You will define and enforce integration contracts, consolidate configurations, and sustain a reproducible build ecosystem across generations and product variants.

You will debug cross-layer issues, work with real-time messaging and sensor daemons, and contribute to security-focused infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering with Linux systems, embedded platforms, or infrastructure work.
• Deep networking knowledge: VLANs, bridging, routing, NAT, DHCP, multicast; diagnose with ip, tcpdump, Wireshark.
• Strong experience with declarative configuration management (Nix/NixOS); familiarity with Build tooling like Bazel, Terraform, Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Own the shared base of the NixOS overlay: modules, compute platform definitions, common services.
• Own the tower network topology end to end: VLANs, bridging, routing, NAT, firewall policy, carrier mapping.
• Define and enforce integration contracts for payloads to extend the platform.
• Consolidate legacy configurations into the common overlay with build-time checks.
• Support and extend real-time messaging as services migrate to next-gen bus; define topic contracts.
• Debug cross-layer issues: kernel, device tree, systemd, Nix evaluation, sensor daemons.
