Job summary

RTX Corporation in Aurora, CO is seeking a Principal Platform IAC Engineer to develop and modernize Infrastructure as Code solutions in a hybrid-cloud environment. The role involves hands-on engineering, documentation, and baseline control to support a strategic national asset.

You will apply Python, Helm, and Kubernetes to secure deployments, mentor engineers, and ensure adherence to standards. Onsite at RTX Facility Aurora, CO with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with integration, cloud technologies, containerization, IaaS/PaaS, Linux development, and microservices.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, or similar toolsets.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Active and Current TS/SCI security clearance required Day 1; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, implement, modernize, and support IaC solutions.
• Automate tools and deploy templates, dashboards, and scripts using Ansible and Python.
• Integrate Kubernetes and Docker container development and orchestration.
• Design and maintain build/test pipelines across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Mentor engineers on tool usage and standards; ensure compliance with standards.
• Apply Python, Helm, and Kubernetes expertise to secure deployments.
• Document engineering processes and maintain baseline control for the program environment.
