Job summary

Red Cell Partners, in partnership with Trase Systems, seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to own critical parts of Trase OS. You’ll work on distributed systems and platform primitives, focusing on reliability and auditability in regulated environments.

You’ll tackle technically ambiguous problems, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while helping scale an agent orchestration platform across services and environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building distributed/platform systems with cross-team architecture.
• 4+ years owning mission-critical runtimes or workflows.
• Expertise with durable execution, idempotency, and correct replay semantics.
• Security governance in production systems (auth, RBAC, audit).
• Strong observability with tracing and metrics across async boundaries.
• Modern language proficiency (Go, Rust, Java, or TypeScript) and cloud stacks.
• Ability to operate in regulated environments with emphasis on correctness.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own core platform execution components.
• Develop reliable distributed systems across retries and failures.
• Create platform APIs/SDKs; ensure versioning & compatibility.
• Guarantee correctness, data integrity, and auditability.
• Scale with concurrency controls, backpressure, and isolation.
• Incorporate security/governance into design; enforce policies.
• Deliver observability via tracing, logs, and metrics; explainable trails.
• Mentor engineers; contribute to design reviews and patterns.
