Job summary

Red Cell Partners, LLC. is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to design and own core execution models for Trase OS in a distributed, regulated environment. You’ll lead architecture across teams, ensure reliability, and advance platform primitives that connect workflows, agents, tools, and surfaces.

This role allows remote work across the USA with Seattle preference. The position emphasizes durability, auditability, and strong engineering standards, including observability, security

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building distributed/platform systems, including architecture across teams or domains.
• 4+ years owning mission-critical runtimes or workflow/orchestration systems.
• Deep expertise with durable execution (state machines, event sourcing, idempotency).
• Proven track record with security & governance in production systems (auth, RBAC, audit).
• Hands-on with observability (Grafana or equivalent) across async boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own critical components of the core execution model (state machine, lifecycle, resource model).
• Build reliable distributed systems with predictable behavior across retries and partial failures.
• Develop platform APIs/SDKs connecting workflows, agents, tools, and product surfaces; manage versioning and compatibility.
• Guarantee correctness via idempotency, deterministic replays, and data integrity.
• Mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and establish engineering patterns across the platform.
