Job summary

Vituity seeks a Senior Director of Platform Engineering to lead a blended onshore/offshore engineering organization. The role drives architectural direction, platform strategy, and the delivery of scalable internal developer capabilities in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will oversee AI-enabled systems, ensure HIPAA compliance, and collaborate across security, revenue, and clinical teams to raise the bar on reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading engineering leaders.
• Experience as a direct line manager of senior and staff engineers.
• Experience building a platform or internal developer capability.
• Experience working with onshore/offshore teams and vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, X12) and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff engineers, owning hiring, performance, growth, retention, leave cover, and day-to-day technical direction.
• Arbitrate architecture disagreements between senior technical staff across platforms.
• Oversee offshore relationships and vendor performance/quality.
• Design and develop the platform engineering team and shared tooling.
• Ensure governance, security, and observability across platforms and AI systems.
