Job summary

Cboe is seeking a Senior Manager of Platform Engineering to design, implement, and manage a cloud-native foundation across AWS and on‑prem Linux environments. You will guide a team of platform engineers, driving IaC, monitoring, and secure, scalable architecture to support hybrid workloads.

You will mentor engineers, champion best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to align platform strategy with business goals in a fast-paced financial tech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with major Cloud vendors including AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience operating cloud-native workloads on Kubernetes in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Proven experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud-native and platform architecture principles, best practices, and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Jenkins.
• Proficiency in container orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, networking, security, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• AWS certifications or Kubernetes certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities
