Job summary

Parachute Health, LLC is seeking a senior software engineer to help advance our post-acute care platform. You will drive agentic workflows, strengthen tooling, and guide architectural decisions across Ruby, Python, and TS/React codebases in a remote‑first environment with a NYC office option.

You will ship end‑to‑end features, improve observability, and collaborate cross‑functionally to enable product teams. 5+ years of experience and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup/1‑to‑1 environment owning features end-to-end.
• Hands-on with CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Kubernetes or other container orchestration experience at scale.
• Strong full-stack web application experience in Python, Ruby, Go or other modern languages; willing to learn Ruby.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and the prompt iteration lifecycle.
• Fluent with AI-powered coding tools to move quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to drive alignment.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows that enhance the SDLC for engineers across the platform.
• Evaluate improvements based on accuracy, latency, and cost.
• Strengthen platform and developer tooling including CLIs, CI/CD pipelines and policy-as-code.
• Drive fleet-wide changes: upgrades, security remediation, standards rollout.
• Improve production observability with product teams.
• Steer architectural direction for cohesive standards and reliability.
• Partner with product teams to understand use cases and enable them.
• Contribute across the stack (Ruby monolith and TS/React) as an enabling force.
