Job summary

The HT Group in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and automate scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, Linux, and IaC practices. This senior IC role focuses on engineering infrastructure for software delivery across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Responsibilities include designing reusable IaC modules, provisioning across public/private/on‑prem environments, implementing secure networking, and enabling CI/CD pipelines with GitOps practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on Terraform with modular/infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Proven ability to build and configure Kubernetes clusters beyond basic deployments.
• Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with common tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Security-minded with networking, DNS, load balancing, and IAM concepts.
• US citizenship and eligibility to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure supporting internal software development and testing.
• Develop reusable IaC solutions using Terraform and modules.
• Establish infrastructure standards and automated provisioning across environments.
• Design Kubernetes clusters and automate deployment/configuration using Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to improve delivery reliability.
• Implement secure networking, storage, identity, and access controls.
• Collaborate with software, security, QA and product teams to improve delivery efficiency.
