Job summary

Radar is seeking Platform Engineers to build and operate Radar’s infrastructure, developer platform, and data systems at scale (1 Billion API calls per day). The role can be based in NYC HQ or remote in the US.

You’ll work across stacks (TypeScript, Rust, Python, Scala), own core services, improve observability, and collaborate with SRE, data teams, and customers to deliver reliable location platform.

• Interest in talking to customers or prospects.
• Curiosity about how things work and tenacity to solve hard problems.

Responsibilities

• Work on core Radar products using TypeScript, Rust, Python and Scala.
• Build highly available systems with 99.99%+ monthly uptime.
• Enable self-serve capabilities with build/test/deploy infra and observability improvements.
• Own internal development platform across server, frontend, mobile, and desktop frameworks.
• Integrate safe AI-enabled development practices throughout the SDLC and ensure QA coverage.
• Collaborate with security and compliance across the development lifecycle.
• Power 1 Billion API calls / day.
• Talk to Radar customers and prospects to incorporate feedback.
