Radar is the global leader in geolocation, delivering geofencing SDKs, maps APIs, and AI‑enabled solutions for marketing, fraud, and operations teams.
We’re looking for Site Reliability Engineers to work on our production infrastructure. Radar handles more than 1 billion API calls per day from over 100 million devices worldwide. We run a multi‑availability‑zone architecture and are building a multi‑region deployment.
Terraform manages our infrastructure. Everything is deployed to AWS via EKS. We use MongoDB Atlas, CircleCI for CI/CD, and monitor production with CloudWatch, Grafana, Pingdom and PagerDuty. DNS is managed with Cloudflare. Engineers are on an on‑call rotation. Main server languages are TypeScript and Rust; data pipelines are written in Airflow and Scala Spark. We sponsor OpenStreetMaps, MapLibre and OpenAddresses.
Our engineering team includes former technical co‑founders and experienced interns. Engineers typically hold either staff‑level expertise in one stack or are multi‑stack, comfortable spanning frontend, backend, mobile, or data engineering. We prioritize fast shipping, customer feedback, and in‑person collaboration at our NYC HQ. Weekly planning occurs on Mondays. Team members interact closely with customers and prospects, ensuring solutions are successful.
After a call with our Technical Recruiter you’ll complete several technical Zoom interviews (code screen, coding round, system design). Successful candidates are invited to our NYC HQ for a final round, meeting co‑founders and other team members.
For candidates based in the United States, the base salary range for this full‑time position is between $200,000 and $300,000 per year, with opportunities for performance bonuses and incentives. In addition to cash, Radar offers a competitive equity plan with stock option grants.
We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
