Job summary

Radar Labs in New York City is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed Platform team building and operating Radar’s infrastructure, developer platform, and data systems to ensure reliability and scalability for global services.

You will oversee engineers across backend, frontend, and mobile stacks, connecting application and infrastructure through automated tooling, with Radar handling 1B+ API calls per day and 300MM+ devices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading platform engineering teams.
• Ability to design and scale distributed systems.
• Track record delivering software at high scale.
• Strong collaboration with product, SRE, and data teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage, grow, and mentor a globally distributed Platform team.
• Lead backend, frontend, and mobile stacks engineering.
• Work on core Radar technology using TypeScript, Rust, Python and Scala.
• Collaborate with product, SRE, and data teams to build highly available systems.
• Enable self-serve capabilities and automation across build/test/deploy.
• Be part of the on-call rotation and drive reliability initiatives.
