Job summary

Clearview AI is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the data and infrastructure platform behind our facial recognition and data systems. This hands-on role requires ownership from architecture through deployment and on-call operation.

You will run petabyte-scale data pipelines, design scalable storage and vector databases, and manage containerized services with GitOps in cloud FedRAMP-aligned environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining production systems.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages and a modern development ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and running production workloads in the cloud.
• Experience with containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the data and infrastructure platform that powers our facial recognition system.
• Build pipelines that ingest and store petabyte-scale data in object storage, then process and index into databases and vector stores.
• Design large-scale storage and retrieval systems with hot and cold tiers and high-throughput messaging.
• Run and scale containerized services on a container orchestration platform using GitOps workflows.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code to enable safe, frequent deployments.
• Operate within FedRAMP and other regulatory environments for security and auditable systems.
• Own complex infrastructure projects end-to-end from design through deployment and on-call ownership.
