Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for its Asynchronous Processing team in Boston. You will architect, build, and operate a large-scale, event-driven backbone using Python, Go, Pulsar, Kafka, SQS, and AWS on Kubernetes.

You’ll design multi-tenant queueing systems that scale to millions of messages per second. You will mentor engineers, contribute to on-call duties, and drive improvements in reliability, latency, and efficiency while collaborating with product teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience building and operating highly available services.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with distributed systems, queues, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate large-scale, event-driven backbones powering Klaviyo.
• Design resilient, multi-tenant queueing platforms with low latency.
