Job summary

IPSY is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Digital Experience team. You’ll design and build platform components using Next.js, TypeScript, and ChakraUI, collaborating with Infrastructure, SRE, and security teams across the US.

You’ll own gateway services (Kong), cloud deployments (AWS, Netlify/Vercel), observability with Datadog, analytics with Statsig/Amplitude, and AI-enabled tooling, contributing to scalable, reliable experiences for millions of IPSY subscribers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing platform or full-stack apps in JavaScript/TypeScript with Next.js and React.
• Experience designing shared libraries, common services, or internal platform components used by multiple engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway, including Lua scripting.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD (Jenkins), and deployments on Netlify or Vercel, in partnership with Infrastructure teams.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Datadog), product analytics or experimentation platforms (Statsig, Amplitude), and performance measurement at scale.
• Strong cross-functional communication with Infrastructure, SRE, and security stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared libraries, components, and services using Next.js/TypeScript, enabling Frontend teams to scale.
• Oversee Kong API Gateway services and cloud deployments (AWS, Netlify/Jenkins).
• Develop the mobile app ecosystem (React Native) for platform reliability.
• Improve monitoring/observability with Datadog for health and incident response.
• Evolve experimentation and analytics platforms (Statsig, Amplitude) for data-driven decisions.
• Drive performance improvements across services and user surfaces.
• Contribute to AI enablement tooling across the platform.
