Job summary

Playbypoint is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build the world-class platform that enables developers, partners, and AI agents to integrate with Playbypoint. You will own the external API, MCP servers, and the developer experience across documentation, onboarding, and SDKs.

You’ll work across a modern stack (Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, REST) and help shape API governance, security, and reliability while collaborating with product and engineering teams to expose

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience with focus on API design, platform development, or developer tooling.
Experience across full stack — backend API design and frontend developer portal surfaces.
Designed and shipped public or partner-facing APIs at scale with versioning, auth, and rate limiting.
Hands-on experience building AI-era integration surfaces — MCP servers, agent skills, or similar patterns.
Strong focus on developer experience with developer portals, SDKs, or documentation systems.

Responsibilities

Design and build Playbypoint's external API — versioned, scalable, and ecosystem-focused.
Develop and maintain MCP servers and skills exposing capabilities to AI agents and tools.
Own the developer experience end-to-end: docs, portal, onboarding, SDKs, sandbox.
