Job summary

U.S. Bank in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced software engineer to analyze, design, test, and maintain high-quality software experiences. You will collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable applications while adhering to DevOps and agile lifecycle practices.

You will lead architecture reviews, drive SRE practices, and work on tokenization, custody, and real-time payments platforms. Strong Java and Spring expertise plus cloud and Kubernetes experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices.
• Strong experience with Cloud Platforms, Containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Event-Driven Systems like Kafka.
• Understanding of Distributed Systems and DDD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable, secure apps using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Lead design and implementation of Blockchain Connectivity, Digital Asset Servicing, Tokenization, Custody Solutions, Settlement Processing, and Real-Time Payments.
• Build and optimize event-driven architectures, APIs, integration services, and high-volume processing platforms.
• Develop enterprise solutions for mission-critical financial systems with focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Partner with business, product, architecture, operations, compliance, risk, and security teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence through DDD, API-first DevOps, automation, and secure coding practices.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, technical design sessions, and governance.
• Champion SRE principles, monitoring, observability, and platform improvement.
