Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for OpenShift and MuleSoft to join the CAEIO program. The role involves deploying and maintaining containerized apps, supporting MuleSoft APIs, and building automation with Ansible.

You will work across engineering, cybersecurity, and development teams, with on-call rotation and flexible hours as required. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in OpenShift, 3+ years in MuleSoft, strong CI/CD and scripting skills, and a proactive, self-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Associate with 10+ years, or HS diploma with 12+ years.
• U.S. Citizenship and an active SECRET clearance.
• 8+ years hands-on OpenShift experience including enterprise-grade cluster administration.
• 3+ years MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and APIs under OpenShift.
• Strong CI/CD and Jenkins expertise.
• Proficiency with Ansible and AAP for automation.
• OpenShift security concepts (RBAC, SCCs, network policies, secrets, image scanning).
• Advanced full-stack troubleshooting across containers, APIs, integration, network, OS, and DB.
• Experience with SQL queries for integration flows and diagnostics.
• Experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, and Zabbix.
• Proven production support in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for CA Applications.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot OpenShift-based containers to ensure high availability.
• Support and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integration services.
• Develop automation using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
• Configure and support Service Mesh for microservices, traffic, security, and observability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, platform, and infrastructure.
• Monitor performance and implement actions to improve reliability.
• Assist deployments, upgrades, patches, and production releases with change control.
• Create and maintain technical docs and SOPs.
• Participate in RCA, incident response, and problem management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new tech and improve processes.
• Join after-hours on-call rotation for production support.
