Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to independently develop, maintain, and support our production infrastructure across hybrid environments. You will participate in upgrades, incident analyses, and security-related RCA activities while helping teams mature operational practices.

Responsibilities include delivering scalable architectures, enabling observability, and driving automation with IaC and GitOps workflows across OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like GCP/Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years of work experience in systems engineering or DevOps.
• Experience with container orchestration and platform engineering.
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and support enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong debugging, incident response, and post-mortem analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of production infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product teams to enable scalable, secure platforms.
• Operate and improve observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and logging tooling.
• Drive automation using GitOps and IaC; support 24x7 operations and on-call rotations.
