Job summary

CJ Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the EngExp platform to run and evolve the services powering CJ's production systems. You will lead reliability, orchestration, and observability across multi-region AWS, with emphasis on governance, security, and performance.

As a senior contributor, you will mentor teammates, define platform standards, and influence architecture while maintaining a focus on scalable, observable systems. This hybrid role requires three days in CJ offices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software and/or infrastructure engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Deep hands-on production experience operating Kubernetes and AWS at scale, across multiple accounts and regions.
• Strong AWS networking judgment (VPC, peering, Transit Gateway, subnet/CIDR design).
• Track record as a critical reviewer of infrastructure changes.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability and operability of the listed platforms.
• Establish and enforce platform standards: RBAC and policy-as-code.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform across AWS accounts.
• Mentor less senior engineers and raise team depth in owned components.
• Drive resolution of platform incidents with focus on learning and improvement.
