Job summary

Beacon Software seeks a Senior Staff/Principal Engineer to own and evolve the data platform across multiple portcos, building robust, scalable, and secure data infra. You will design end-to-end services, APIs, and runtimes with a strong emphasis on reliability, latency, and observability.

You will drive multi-tenant isolation, cross-cloud connectivity, and regional residency while collaborating with ML and platform teams to integrate advanced workflows and governance.

Qualifications

• Senior staff or principal-equivalent with complex system ownership.
• Experience designing and operating scalable data platforms.
• Strong background in distributed systems and multi-tenant infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own data platform end-to-end across cross-portco data lake, catalog and semantic layer.
• Build and maintain core services, APIs, and workflow runtimes for reliability and latency.
• Ensure multi-tenant isolation, cross-cloud connectivity, and regional residency.
• Develop observability, traces, metrics, and evals, with robust rollback and audit trails.
• Design safety controls, blast radius, and governance for platform actions.
• Collaborate with ML and product teams to integrate model-driven workflows.
