Job summary

Endor Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own data infrastructure (MongoDB/BigQuery) operations from Day 0 to steady state, and design scalable architecture across clouds. The role requires extensive SRE/Platform experience, Kubernetes expertise, and a strong practice of GitOps and IaC.

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating MongoDB (MongoDB Atlas included) in production — sharding, replica set design, index strategy, backup and restore.
• 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering experience, with on-call and incident resolution.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in production including multi-cluster networking debugging.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
• Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu/Terragrunt, reusable modules and state management at scale.
• Observability with Prometheus and Grafana, designing SLIs/SLOs and dashboards.
• Ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own MongoDB Day 0 and Day 2 Operations from initial provisioning to live monitoring and incident response.
• Design and implement MongoDB scaling strategies including shard keys and zone placement.
• Instrument the stack with telemetry across MongoDB and BigQuery for proactive issue detection.
• Build cloud infrastructure at scale on Azure and Google Cloud handling billions of events.
• Operate Kubernetes and CNCF ecosystem, architect multi-tenant isolation.
• Advance infrastructure as code with Terraform/OpenTofu modules and GitOps workflows.
• Collaborate with Security, Backend, and Product teams to keep the data layer aligned.
• Ship infrastructure improvements weekly balancing speed and reliability.
