Job description

About Us

AI coding is the largest use case of enterprise AI adoption today, as is evident from the success of Anthropic on Claude Code, Cursor's $60B exit to SpaceX, and Cognition's $48B valuation.

The bottleneck now has moved from code generation to security and safety - AI agents write code faster than any team can review it, and over 65% of the lines of code produced by them are insecure. Vulnerabilities are piling up 16x faster than companies can fix them, and adversaries are able to exploit these new vulnerabilities within hours.

AURI by Endor Labs closes that gap. It runs inside the harness where coding agents work, through hooks, skills and MCP, so the controls sit outside the model and every agent action is visible. Underneath is our patented code context graph, which maps code, open source, containers and infrastructure. It shows which vulnerabilities can actually be reached and exploited, then delivers fixes that won't break the application. Security teams get evidence instead of noise, and developers get fixes instead of tickets.

The companies building AI trust us to secure it - our customers include OpenAI, SpaceX, DoorDash, Dropbox, Atlassian, MongoDB, Snowflake, Robinhood and Peloton to name a few.

Endor Labs is the third company from Founder & CEO Varun Badhwar, who built Prisma Cloud, the platform that helped define cloud security, from $0 to $300M ARR at Palo Alto Networks. We've raised $163M from Lightspeed, Coatue, DFJ Growth, Salesforce Ventures and Dell Technologies Capital.

Software runs everything around our lives today - banking, hospitals, airports and power grids. AI now writes more of it every day, and our mission is to make sure the world can trust that software. Come build that future with us.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Own MongoDB and BigQuery Day 0 and Day 2 Operations : Take data infrastructure from first principles through steady state - initial cluster/dataset design and provisioning, then the ongoing work of monitoring, performance tuning, access management, and incident response once it's live.
  • Drive MongoDB Scaling Strategy : Design and execute sharding strategies for our largest collections - shard key selection, zone-based placement, chunk rebalancing - so the platform scales well past its current size without a painful re-architecture.
  • Instrument the Stack with Telemetry : Add metrics, logging, and tracing across different parts of our infrastructure - including MongoDB and BigQuery - so the team has the visibility to catch problems before they become incidents.
  • Build Cloud Infrastructure at Scale : Design, deploy, and operate infrastructure on Azure and Google Cloud that processes billions of security events daily.
  • Work Across Kubernetes & the CNCF Ecosystem : Operate resilient, self-healing infrastructure using Kubernetes and ArgoCD, and help architect multi-tenant clusters that keep customer workloads isolated.
  • Advance Infrastructure as Code : Build and maintain Terraform/OpenTofu modules that let the team provision infrastructure safely and consistently through GitOps workflows.
  • Collaborate Across Teams : Partner with Security, Backend, and Product Engineering so the platform's data layer keeps up with the rest of the product.
  • Iterate and Innovate : Ship infrastructure improvements weekly, balancing speed with reliability as the platform grows.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Hands-On MongoDB Experience, Day 0 and Day 2 : 4+ years operating MongoDB (MongoDB Atlas included) in production - sharding, replica set design, index strategy, backup and restore - across the full lifecycle, from standing up a cluster to keeping it healthy at scale.
  • A Track Record of Scaling MongoDB : You've redesigned a shard key, rebalanced chunks, or re-architected zone placement on a cluster that outgrew its original design, and you know the tradeoffs each option carries.
  • Battle-Tested SRE Experience : 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering experience, with a track record of building and operating production infrastructure. You've been on call and resolved critical incidents.
  • Kubernetes Proficiency : Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem in production, including debugging multi-cluster networking issues.
  • Cloud Native Engineer : Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS - in that order of preference).
  • Infrastructure as Code Practitioner : Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform, OpenTofu, or Terragrunt, including reusable modules and state management at scale.
  • Observability Advocate : Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana, including designing SLIs/SLOs and dashboards that help teams operate distributed systems.
  • Clear Communicator : Able to explain complex technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences, and to document decisions so others can build on them.
What Will Make You Stand Out

MongoDB Atlas Depth : Experience with Atlas-specific capabiliti
