Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for the AppInfra team. You will design, build, and operate scalable Kubernetes clusters on AWS, strengthening deployment safety and velocity while keeping security at the forefront.

You will drive large-scale architecture projects, mentor engineers, and help set the long-term roadmap for infrastructure across the company, partnering with security, data, and application teams to deliver reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform, SRE, or related backend roles.
• Deep Kubernetes architecture understanding.
• Experience with multi-cluster Kubernetes and inter-cluster communication.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudTrail).
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Backend or infra services in Java, C#, or Python.
• Strong data-driven approach to performance improvements.
• Ability to prioritize work across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
• Drive scalability, resiliency, performance, and security across the build/deploy platform.
• Build tooling to increase deployment safety and velocity.
• Advance CI/CD for frequent, reliable production deployments.
• Mentor engineers on the AppInfra team.
• Define long-term roadmap for infrastructure and Kubernetes management.
• Collaborate with security, data, and application teams.
• Participate in incident response and postmortems.
• Lead developer productivity improvements through tooling and automation.
