Job summary

MITRE Mission Computing seeks a Platform Engineer to own and evolve the foundational systems that enable national security work across MITRE’s federally funded centers. You will ensure reliability and security of compute platforms powering internal tools and environments for engineering, research, and mission teams.

You will operate in a high-stakes context with CMMC compliance and multi‑cluster architectures, guiding teams on platform best practices while maintaining strong incident response

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years software engineering experience.
• Production Kubernetes platforms design, build, and operation.
• Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience in regulated environments.
