Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. seeks a Principal Platform Engineer to define the technology vision for Platform Engineering within the IT modernization program.

You will standardize, automate, and secure platforms and services, leading the Internal Developer Platform and shared infrastructure while partnering with Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Operations to improve delivery and reduce risk. As a senior technical leader, you will drive platform roadmaps, governance, and self-service capabilities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a tech field.
• 10+ years in software/infrastructure/platform engineering.
• 5+ years leading large engineering initiatives.
• Experience designing enterprise platform services across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year Platform Engineering roadmap.
• Build and govern the Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Establish secure-by-design golden paths and self-service experiences.
• Lead architecture standards for hybrid cloud, CI/CD, security, and observability.
