Job summary

Dark Wolf Solutions seeks Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services ensuring high availability, scalability, and security for DevSecOps and mission apps on a Kubernetes platform. Hybrid work in Herndon, VA is supported.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years' cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), Terraform IaC, and DoD cybersecurity knowledge, with DoD clearance and Platform One exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure with at least 2 years in DoD cloud platforms (IL6)
• Experience architecting and maintaining Kubernetes or Docker platform services on cloud-native architecture
• Experience integrating cloud platform services within a Kubernetes cluster
• Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to enforce DISA STIG
• Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes such as GitLab CI, Artifactory, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Helm, Kustomize
• Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Knowledge in Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps and DoD cybersecurity requirements
• BS in CS/IS/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)
• US Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance or higher
• Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL DBMS
• Experience deploying Platform One's Big Bang tools
• Experience with DoD FedRAMP cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud / Cloud One)
• Experience standing up AWS services: RDS, EMR, ECR, EKS, S3
• Experience deploying Kubernetes using Rancher and RKE2
• Knowledge of RMF accreditation and security requirements
• Experience with DISA HBSS and ACAS for security hardening
• Experience implementing service mesh for cluster ingress/egress, mTLS, and auth
• Experience Identity Management services with OIDC or SAML SSO

Responsibilities

• Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes platform services on cloud-native architecture
• Integrating a Kubernetes platform with enterprise services to meet security requirements
• Implementing secure automation, monitoring, and Infrastructure as Code
• Deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across environments
• Collaborating with a cross-functional engineering team on new technologies
• Developing best practices to improve deployment quality and velocity
• Implementing security hardening and baseline configuration management
