Job summary

Nasdaq seeks a Principal Platform Engineer to develop, operate, and evolve the infrastructure and engineering platforms supporting critical trading systems. You will partner with Developers, Application Management, Information Security, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable, reliable platform solutions.

You will lead technical direction, drive automation, and serve as a senior escalation point for complex systems, network, and performance issues across Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Platform/Infra/DevOps/SRE or related fields.
• Advanced Linux engineering with troubleshooting across OS, networking, and infra.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and hybrid environments (EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Strong Kubernetes and container platforms experience.
• Automation development with Shell scripting and IaC tools (Terraform).
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience operating enterprise infrastructure services including access management, monitoring, and reliability.
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, automation, and operational management of core platform technologies (GitLab, Teleport, Linux infra, Kubernetes, cloud services).
• Design and maintain secure, scalable hybrid infrastructure across AWS and on-premises.
• Develop platform automation to improve reliability and efficiency using Terraform and scripts.
• Manage provisioning, configuration, OS maintenance, access controls, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot complex infra, platform, and performance issues across Linux, networking, cloud, and distributed env.
• Collaborate with Development, Infra, Security teams to improve reliability, secure access, and deployment workflows.
• Mentor engineers and drive platform engineering standards and incident response practices.
