Job summary

Capital One seeks an experienced Sr. Lead Platform Engineer to drive enterprise collaboration platforms across Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. You will collaborate with product, risk, cyber, and lines of business to translate objectives into scalable configurations and governance.

You will manage end-to-end initiatives, align with architecture, and mentor engineers while delivering measurable outcomes with accountability and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years in enterprise IT, systems engineering, or cybersecurity.
• At least 4 years hands-on experience architecting, administering, and securing large-scale Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience deploying services across SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain the enterprise-wide Google Workspace Collaboration Platform.
• Design, document, and maintain the enterprise-wide Microsoft M365 Collaboration Platform.
• Partner with Product and Risk stakeholders to translate objectives into configurations, security practices, and data handling policies.
• Partner with IAM on MFA, SSO, and context-aware access policies for Google Workspace/M365.
• Architect, implement, and manage content management for Google Drive to prevent unauthorized sharing of data.
• Maintain governance processes for third-party apps accessing Workspace data, including risk assessments and audits.
• Ensure platform meets regulatory and legal requirements through configuration, operation, and auditing.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and HR on Google Vault data retention and eDiscovery.
