Job summary

Amazon’s FinAuto RecTech is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team in Arlington. You will craft core infrastructure and tools enabling engineering teams to deliver scalable customer experiences across Amazon’s receivables platforms.

You will design and maintain platform components, lead architecture decisions, mentor junior engineers, and raise the bar on security and code quality, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or equivalent leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core platform components and services using AWS for large distributed environments.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define architecture and deliver platform capabilities focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead engineering best practices and use data to improve operational excellence.
