Job summary

K2 Space is building the largest and highest-power satellites. We’re seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Enterprise Information Systems team, shaping the digital backbone that powers satellite design, manufacturing, and mission operations.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders to design, implement, and deliver on our roadmap, focusing on scalable, observable, and secure distributed systems in an on‑prem/云 hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) and 2-5 years of experience building and operating distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, Python or C# and disciplined SCM workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Amazon EKS, and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk or OpenTelemetry).

Responsibilities

• Operational support for EKS self-service features, including scoped segmentation and multi-tenancy.
• Implement observability standards to make request paths and policies visible.
• Create approachable docs and diagnostics to shorten support loops.
• Support code lifecycle, migrations, telemetry, and pruning unused resources.
• Build automated policies to ensure good code deployment practices.
