Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Lisbon seeks a Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Platform Team to strengthen platform foundations and enable scalable, reliable services. You will own end‑to‑end developer workflows—from code to production—and drive high‑leverage improvements across build, test, deployment, and runtime infrastructure.

You will lead migrations, tool development, and self‑service capabilities while partnering with product engineering, security, and SRE to reduce friction

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and cross‑team collaboration.
• Experience owning developer platform or infrastructure systems.
• Familiarity with build systems and delivery workflows.
• Ability to debug complex failures across CI, deployment, and runtime layers.
• Experience leading migrations with risk management and adoption.
• Product‑minded approach to tooling usability and self‑service.

Responsibilities

• Own the developer delivery path end‑to‑end across build, test, package, deploy, and validation.
• Lead shared engineering foundations like libraries, patterns, and templates used by many teams.
• Improve CI performance, scalability, and reliability of build and test feedback loops.
• Own and improve control‑plane in deployment, including GitOps workflows and rollout tooling.
• Manage platform runtime infra, including Kubernetes cluster behavior and scheduling.
• Diagnose recurring failures and implement automation, better defaults, and observability.
• Leverage AI tools for codebase migrations, CI triage, and automation with guardrails.
