Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Engineer to serve as the technical custodian for the Customer Experience Platform (CXP) services. You will lead high-impact projects, own overarching solutions, and foster critical technical relationships across software teams in a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities include defining OFRs, establishing standards for maintainability and MTTR, and modernizing legacy applications to the North Star Architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, design patterns, and RESTful service development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, GraphQL, and Reactive Programming.
• Cloud and infrastructure proficiency including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS).

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver OFRs aligned with business goals.
• Establish technical standards to optimize MTTR and performance.
• Modernize and migrate legacy apps to North Star Architecture.
• Author comprehensive design documentation for development initiatives.
• Engineer framework modules to address cross-cutting concerns.
• Define the AI strategy for automating manual work in defect/outage triage.
• Evaluate business processes to identify improvements and scalable solutions.
• Facilitate cross-functional ideation to streamline omni-channel processes.
• Translate business objectives into accurate requirements.
• Develop system enhancements and architecture designs for modernization.
• Manage iterative requirements and delivery using Agile methods.
