Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Engineer to act as the technical custodian for the Customer Experience Platform (CXP) services. You will lead high-impact projects, own overarching solutions, and build critical relationships with software engineering teams across a cross-functional environment.

Your responsibilities include defining OFRs, setting technical standards, modernizing legacy apps to the North Star Architecture, drafting comprehensive design documentation, and accelerating agile delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four+ years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant experience demonstrated through work or military experience or training.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, design patterns and RESTful service development.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver Opportunities for Improvement (OFRs) aligned with business and technology goals.
• Establish technical standards to optimize maintainability, MTTR, performance and release processes.
• Modernize and migrate legacy applications to the North Star Architecture.
• Author design documentation for development initiatives.
• Engineer framework modules for cross-cutting concerns and agile delivery.
• Define the AI strategy for automating manual work in defect/outage triaging.
• Evaluate processes to anticipate requirements and implement scalable solutions.
• Facilitate cross-functional ideation to streamline omni-channel processes.
