Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Engineer to act as the technical custodian for the Customer Experience Platform (CXP) services. You will lead high-impact projects, own overarching solutions, and nurture relationships with software engineering teams across the organization.

You will define OFRs, set standards, modernize legacy apps, and author comprehensive design documents. This hybrid role combines home work with office days, reporting to the CXP Platform Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience with architecture and delivery.
• Expertise in microservices, design patterns, and RESTful services.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, WebFlux, GraphQL, and Reactive Programming.
• Cloud and infrastructure proficiency including AWS, Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• AI & Automation: skills to automate manual tasks across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver OFRs aligned with business goals.
• Establish standards to optimize maintainability and MTTR.
• Modernize legacy apps to North Star Architecture.
• Author high/low-level design documents for initiatives.
• Engineer framework modules to accelerate agile delivery.
• Collaborate across teams to drive omni-channel improvements.
