Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Engineer to act as the technical custodian for the Customer Experience Platform (CXP) services. You will oversee delivery of high-impact projects, define OFRs, and partner with software teams across multiple domains to drive modernization and adoption of North Star principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, design patterns, and RESTful service development (including JSON, authentication, and authorization).

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver Opportunities for Improvement (OFRs) aligned with tactical and long-term business and technology goals.
• Establish technical standards to optimize maintainability, MTTR, performance, and release processes.
• Modernize and migrate legacy applications to the Verizon Consumer North Star Architecture.
• Author comprehensive design documentation for all development initiatives.
• Engineer framework modules for the CXP Platform to address cross-cutting concerns and accelerate agile delivery.
• Define the AI Strategy for automating manual work in defect and outage triaging.
• Evaluate business processes to anticipate requirements and implement scalable solutions.
