Job summary

FIS is seeking a Principal Engineer to shape the messaging platform used across email, push, and SMS channels. You will set the technical direction, build or choose core services, and partner with business stakeholders to ensure compliant, reliable customer communications.

You will lead architecture, drive multi-brand theming, and enable AI-assisted workflows while coordinating with design, security, and platform teams to deliver consistent experiences across brands.

Qualifications

• Design and implement scalable messaging platforms at scale.
• Experience with email, push, and SMS delivery patterns.
• Knowledge of authentication and compliance for messaging.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and technical strategy for messaging across channels.
• Build shared services for templating, theming and orchestration.
• Own deliverability, reliability, and compliance for messaging.
• Lead vendor and infrastructure trade-off decisions.
• Enable AI-assisted messaging workflows and ensure governance.
• Collaborate with design, web and mobile teams for consistent UX.
