Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer – Payrix to design, build, operate, and scale a cloud-native Payrix platform.

You will work within the Payrix Platform Engineering team to enable shared infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and secure, observable services across PCI-DSS and SOC 2 environments in the Global Payments ecosystem. You’ll partner with engineering teams to reduce friction, define golden paths for services, and modernize deployment patterns with GitHub Actions and

Qualifications

Senior-level experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps or similar hands-on roles.
5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience including AWS & Kubernetes.
Experience with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and cluster operations.
Strong IaC experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitHub Actions).
Familiarity with governance, security tooling, and developer experience patterns.

Responsibilities

Design, build, operate, and improve the cloud-native Payrix platform for scale and reliability.
Define golden paths for services including EKS, IaC, CI/CD, observability, and security.
Reduce manual steps via automated, repeatable workflows and runbooks.
Create platform docs, runbooks, and guidance in Confluence and repos.
Partner with engineering teams to enable self-service platform capabilities.
