United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate an off‑device platform handling data from edge AI devices. You’ll bridge edge deployments with cloud processing across on‑prem and cloud environments, guiding infrastructure and deployment practices while mentoring engineers.

The role is hands-on with leadership responsibilities and remote work from the United States, contributing to ML workloads, analytics, and operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of development experience in platform engineering, SRE, or distributed systems with senior impact.
• Experience operating infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Solid AWS architecture experience.
• Hands-on Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Willing to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment and management of containerized apps using Kubernetes for performance and availability.
• Contribute to strategic planning for infrastructure evolution with Data Center partners.
• Lead design and maintenance of scalable systems on AWS and on‑premise.
• Use Terraform to automate provisioning of cloud resources.
• Monitor performance and ensure SLOs are met; support SOC2 security.
• Mentor teammates in DevOps practices and promote reliability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
