Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Infra Systems team. You will own cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives, standardize multi-cloud patterns across AWS, GCP, and networking, and build self-service tooling for product teams to provision and operate cloud infrastructure safely.

You will collaborate with Compute, Infra Security, and Routing teams, embed guardrails in provisioning, drive reliability, and lead investigations to scale foundational systems while applying AI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building and operating production cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking primitives (VPCs, DNS, load balancers).
• Proficiency in Go or Python for platform tooling and automation.
• Ability to drive cross-team technical initiatives.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives spanning AWS, GCP and Networking.
• Build and maintain self-service tooling and paved-road defaults for safe provisioning.
• Embed guardrails into provisioning to meet security, compliance, and reliability standards.
• Drive standardization across multi-cloud infrastructure to reduce fragmentation.
• Lead investigations and operational improvements across infrastructural boundaries.
