Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join our Cleveland, OH team. You will set strategic priorities for platform maintenance across cloud and on‑prem environments and guide security, reliability, and performance initiatives.

You'll collaborate with cross‑functional partners to implement best practices, oversee automation and IaC, and drive DevOps efforts to ensure scalable, secure infrastructure for the company's services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or 9+ years in Platform Engineer roles.
• 6+ years platform engineering with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher.
• Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) experience.
• Monitoring/log tools: Nagios, Splunk, ELK.
• IaC and config mgmt: Ansible, Chef, Terraform.
• 3+ years containerization with Kubernetes/Rancher orchestration.
• Ingress controllers, TLS lifecycle, Vault integration.
• Observability: Sysdig, Fluentd, Elasticsearch.
• GitOps with ArgoCD for CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic priorities for platform hardware, software, and network needs.
• Lead teams on system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Optimize DevOps tools to support organizational needs.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration to productionize features.
• Oversee automated fulfillment mechanisms and platform services delivery.
• Drive security and resiliency policy development and implementation.
• Review high‑level designs and provide actionable feedback.
• Communicate findings from technical research on new systems or issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships for mutual opportunities.
