Job summary

Oracle US in Nashville is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to design and deliver deployment capabilities for OCI's developer platform. You will help teams move faster while upholding security and reliability.

You will work on a high-impact, greenfield platform at the intersection of productivity, cloud reliability, and software delivery, collaborating with product managers, security engineers, and SREs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, C#, Python, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for a modern application deployment platform on OCI.
• Deliver resilient, scalable deployment workflows that make it easier for developers to safely ship changes across diverse environments and service architectures.
• Partner with product managers, architects, security engineers, SREs, and developer teams to turn ambiguous platform needs into clear technical designs and high-quality software.
• Build safety and reliability into the product by default: strong isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, observability, rollback and recovery paths, and thoughtful failure handling.
• Develop platform primitives that enable AI- and agent-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining appropriate controls, least-privilege access, and human oversight.
• Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve developer experience, performance, availability, and deployment success rates.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, mentoring, and pragmatic technical leadership.
