Cardinal Health invites an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of core software and information platforms across our nationwide IT landscape, ensuring scalable, reliable cloud services and robust integration with application teams.

You will mentor engineers, translate business needs into architecture, establish platform standards and governance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive performance, security, and cost efficiency that enable

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs.
• Experience maintaining Databricks platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability
• Ability to break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability and performance improvements.
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks.
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components.
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
