Job summary

Distributed Spectrum Inc. in New York City is seeking a Platform Engineer to own the foundation for fast-moving deployment and secure operations across environments.

You will implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices while scaling GPU/CPU workloads and managing cloud costs. Build observability, automate deployments, and enable product teams to ship safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE at meaningful scale.
• Hands-on DevSecOps integrating security into delivery pipelines.
• Deep experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Strong AWS experience at scale: compute, networking, storage, IAM, Kubernetes, cost management.
• Infrastructure-as-code skills: Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation/CDK; GitOps workflows.
• Experience with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) in production.
• Programming in Python/Go/Bash for automation.
• Strong operational instincts: failure modes, blast radius, recoverability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure using IaC across environments.
• Own CI/CD end-to-end: pipelines, artifact management, testing gates, canaries, rollbacks.
• Automate scaling and deployments for GPUs/CPUs; capacity planning and cost controls.
• Embed security into the platform: secrets management, IAM, vulnerability scanning, policy-as-code.
• Build observability: metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, SLOs.
• Run large-scale deployments with incident response and improvements.
• Create developer tooling so product engineers ship safely without being infra experts.
