Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security in Berkeley, MO is seeking a Platform Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to lead platform engineering, build automation, and cloud modernization for mission-critical software environments.

You will maintain internal tools, pipelines, and automation workflows, working closely with software developers and engineers to improve productivity and secure deployments. This onsite role requires a US security clearance and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• This role requires US citizenship and ability to obtain a US security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 3+ years programming in C, C++ or C#.
• Experience with shell scripting (sh/csh, Bash) and Python/PERL.
• 1+ years AWS services (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, etc.).
• Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with build and test tools (BoostBuild, BoostTest, CMake, Make).

Responsibilities

• Lead platform engineering for mission-critical software environments.
• Maintain and refactor legacy internal tools, build scripts, and automation utilities.
• Design and develop custom software tools to support engineering workflows.
• Support secure, cloud-based infrastructure used by the program.
• Architect, provision, and maintain IaC infrastructure.
• Modernize build and release processes into CI/CD workflows.
• Containerize legacy applications and tooling for reproducibility.
• Collaborate with developers to improve local development environments.
