Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (Senior Associate) to lead design of major components of a digital service platform. You will automate build, deployment, and support, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality software across production environments.

You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, push for scalable and secure services, and mentor junior engineers while upholding Kainos values.

Qualifications

• Strong team skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with multiple automation/configuration tools and at least one scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of core components of a modern digital service platform.
• Ensure services are scalable, secure, reliable and performant.
• Collaborate across engineering, testing, consulting, product management and security.
• Drive conversations and decisions to enable MVP and fast delivery to production.
• Support live services and ensure ongoing improvements in availability and performance.
• Mentor junior team members and role-model Kainos values.
• Explore opportunities to expand specialisms within cloud/DevOps.
