Job summary

Robinson Helicopter Company is hiring a hands-on Platform Engineer to own the technical foundations linking our digital customer experiences to enterprise systems and data. This role traverses application code, Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, databases, and business system integrations, with real ownership to improve security, automation, and documentation across the environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring, and databases.
• Git, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling, Docker, and multi-environment releases.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• REST and/or GraphQL APIs, webhooks, authentication, and secrets management.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Strong troubleshooting across application, cloud, network, db, security boundaries.
• Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the web platform: engineer and operate Next.js frontend and Strapi CMS across dev, staging, prod; APIs and configurator.
• Run the Azure environment: manage App Service, Front Door, WAF, Container Registry, PostgreSQL, Redis, and App Insights.
• Automate delivery: build CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Docker; ensure tests, gates, and auditable releases.
• Connect the business: design and support integrations across web, cloud, ecommerce, and ERP/Shopify via APIs.
• Secure and govern it: manage DNS, certificates, access, secrets, remediation, and documentation.
• Partner across the company: collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering, and business owners.
